Participation:
Telesis, a woman-owned business, is committed to working with minority-
and women-owned businesses. In each project, goals are established
regarding the percentage of contracts awarded to M/WBEs. Telesis has met or exceeded those goals in each of
its projects. In several projects, Telesis has provided training and organizational assistance with development funds to
help create local business enterprises.
Section
3:
Section 3 has been an important program for resident participation in
federally funded construction projects for decades; and Telesis has been a
successful implementer of numerous Section 3 efforts. Telesis
hires residents from the communities in which it works and
designs and oversees highly successful resident-training and
apprenticeship programs, often in conjunction with local union trades.
Telesis has also established resident-staffed and resident-owned
construction companies at a number of its projects.
