City View Park Return List Ellen Wilson

Court Square Center, Memphis, TN

View Project Profile Chart

Lincoln American Tower, Court Annex and the Lowenstein Building make up the Court Square Center project and are part of the downtown Memphis historic district. Their revitalization will transform three of the most architecturally significant buildings in Memphis - an entire city block - into 40,000 square feet of commercial and retail space and 74 high style live/work suites.

The Court Square Center project integrates Memphis architectural legacy with modern design and sensibility. The delicate weaving of complementary elements is at the heart of adaptive re-use and builds a platform for the accelerated development of a vital urban community. The Court Square Center project will also regenerate the adjacent Court Square Center Park, which is the historical economic center of Memphis. The revitalization of the buildings and park are seen as fundamental elements to the master-planned, comprehensive redevelopment of downtown Memphis.

The $40,000,000 historic rehabilitation project incorporates a variety of public and private sources of funds, including New Markets Tax Credits, Historic Tax Credits, a Section 108 loan, a Brownfields Economic Development grant, private equity and permanent financing.
